Tandem Repeat Occurrence Locator

Welcome to troll's web page. The Tandem Repeat Occurrence Locator is a light weight SSR finder based on a slight modification of the Aho-Corasick algorithm.

This project is being hosted by Source Forge. Head for the project development site to get a more technical view on troll and even project popularity statistics - but keep in mind, trolls are not known for winning popularity contests.

troll's platform of choice is Linux. We suspect that troll will probably work under other unices as it is, or maybe with minor adjustments. If you have any complains leave us a note on the proper forum, or stop by the development page.

Thanks for using troll, and have fun!

Update - May 23, 2001

troll is now begin hosted also at bioinformatics.org: The Open Lab. TOL is an iniciative that looks to concentrated opensource bioinformatics projects in one place. Their infrastructure is similiar to that of SourceForge, and very promising. They also provide computational hosts, and free web hosting services.

I'd like to thank the folks at TOL for their kindness and their help in making bioinformatics projects more visible.
